The Big Day is Here!
TO MY WONDERFUL CLIENTS!
Greetings from New York City
I hope this message finds you well. First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for entrusting me with capturing your wedding day. It is a genuine honor to serve as your wedding filmmaker and embark on this incredible journey alongside you. As I approach my 14th season in the world of wedding cinematography with AJ Ingoglia Films, it brings a smile to my face to reflect on the fact that I've been doing this for so long – and yes, I've celebrated my 28th birthday more times than I can count! Time truly flies when you're immersed in what you love.
I want to assure you that I am fully prepared and eagerly anticipating the opportunity to meet you and craft a stunning film that will forever encapsulate the memories of your special day. To ensure a seamless experience, I'll be in touch approximately 30 days before your wedding to send you the final timeline contract, typically around the first of the month. This timeline will offer an initial overview of your day. I'll reach out again as we approach the wedding week to finalize the schedule. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns at any time, and I'll be sure to respond promptly.
Before the big day arrives, I'd like to share a few helpful tips:
Hair & Makeup:
We collaborate closely with all our vendors, especially the makeup and hair team, to ensure you look your best on camera. As you plan your hair and makeup schedule, please remember that I may require a brief moment for a private audio interview and the potential capture of card readings. Beginning the hair and makeup process early benefits my team and the photography crew, granting us ample time to capture those cherished moments during your bridal preparation. I also recommend aiming to be ready approximately two hours before our departure to our designated locations. This additional time will enable us to create robe and pre-dress shots, offering a distinctive and intimate perspective of your morning preparations. It also allows everyone to relax, catch their breath, and savor those special moments before the festivities commence.
Hotel and Home Preparations:
Opting for a hotel setting is convenient and reduces potential risks to your belongings. If feasible, consider booking a second room or a suite with a separate bedroom – we affectionately refer to these as "clean rooms." Maintaining a clutter-free environment in these spaces ensures your belongings are neatly stowed away. A well-organized setting enhances the visual appeal of your film. If you're preparing at home, similar principles apply. Ensure that a well-lit bedroom or living space is available for shooting, and have all your details ready for us upon our arrival. This includes your rings, shoes, dress, custom hanger, and any other items you wish to have captured.
Don't Hesitate to Ask:
Your wedding film should be a reflection of your vision and preferences. If you have specific shots or moments in mind that hold particular significance, please don't hesitate to share them with me. I am here to create a film that you will cherish. Conversely, if there is anything you feel uncomfortable doing or would prefer to omit, please don't hesitate to communicate your preferences. I adhere to a "Hate it, but Have it" philosophy, meaning we can permanently exclude footage later if it doesn't align with your expectations. Our primary goal is to capture the essence of your day.
Card Read | Audio Interview:
If you know my work, you know I love to ask questions. Generally, before we leave for the ceremony or first look, I love to get one-on-one interviews with my clients in the morning. These are always optional to participate in, but let's return to the "hate but have it" saying. For the card reads, I would love for you to have a copy of the cards you give to your significant others. I want to be able to do a voice record of you writing to one another in your voice. Please have this on your phone by taking a picture of the card or having a copy written on the phone or a physical copy. Get ready for your closeup, and don't be scared. It's just us having a conversation!
Reception | First Dance
I love this moment. Please do your first dance for at least 2 minutes if you can. Some clients are shy or want the family to join immediately, but this interrupts the visuals of getting an incredible first dance shot from multiple angles. But of course, like anything, this is just a suggestion!
Have Fun:
Your wedding day will undoubtedly be one of your life's most memorable and joyous occasions. Treasure every moment as it passes by quicker than you can imagine. Also, please remember that I am here as a discreet presence to assist with any needs. A simple signal and I'm ready to handle any unexpected situations – consider me your private security for the day!
Payment:
Typically, I collect payment on the wedding day during the bridal preparation. Please have your payment ready unless we've made alternative arrangements. All checks should be made payable to "AJ Ingoglia Films." Once I receive payment, I usually discreetly disappear and run away never to be seen again.
Stay Connected with Us:
We invite you to stay connected with us on our various social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. Additionally, don't forget to explore our newly revitalized website to stay informed about our latest films and experiences. Your support means the world to us!

Let’s get you married,
AJ Ingoglia
