Love & Laughter: Lauren & Nick’s Stunning Wedding at Hempstead House

The first thing I must say about this wedding is how special it was to film for Nick, a fellow videographer. Anytime another video professional hires me, it’s such an honor because I know they appreciate the craft and the dedication that goes into filming and editing. Knowing that Nick recognized the care I put into my work meant so much.

Lauren and Nick were one of my favorite couples in the fifteen years since I started my company. They were kind and fun, and their bridal party was ready to have a blast. From the start of the day, their family made me feel like "Cousin AJ," which made the experience all the more memorable. Even though we had a few raindrops, the sun came out and turned the day into a beautiful one.

One unique part of the wedding was that Lauren’s father, a pastor, officiated the ceremony at their family church. That personal touch made the day even more meaningful. I want to thank Lauren and Nick for having me be a part of their special day—it was indeed an honor.

It was also a pleasure working alongside some incredibly talented people. A special shoutout to Sergey Lapkovsky, who was by my side capturing magic through his lens—working next to him is always inspiring. The team at Hempstead House was phenomenal, as always. I love shooting at the Hempstead House in Sands Point because the staff is always accommodating and welcoming, and Emily and Mo, who run the show, I am so proud to call friends.

Hank Lane’s band, Ignition, absolutely brought the party to life and kept everyone on their feet all night long! A huge thanks to Stephanie and Julie from Victoria Elizabeth for doing such a fantastic job with hair and makeup—Lauren looked stunning in her Edgardo Bonilla dress from the Wedding Salon of Manhasset.

Lauren and Nick, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and love. You two truly deserve it all, and I’m so happy to call you now friends. Here’s to many more celebrations together!
