Love, Laughter, and Jet Skis: Katelyn & Gregory's Unforgettable Bash!
Remember "The Great Gatsby," but swap the champagne flutes for mason jars and flapper dresses for sundresses, add a dash of Long Island wind, and crank up the laughter – that's the magic concoction Katelyn and Gregory brewed at their wedding at Gatsby on the Ocean. This stunning Jones Beach venue witnessed a celebration unlike any other: a whirlwind of love, laughter, and good vibes (pun intended!).
As their videographer, I had the privilege of front-row seats to this epic unfolding. My journey with this incredible couple began last October at Shannon and Kevin's wedding (remember that awesome video?). There, I met Katelyn, her smile as infectious as her laugh. Fast forward to January 2023, and ten weeks before her big day, she's calling, asking me to capture their magic. Needless to say, I jumped at the chance!
The morning kicked off at Katelyn's place, sunlight filtering through the windows and warming the excited faces of the bridal party. Laughter echoed through the room, perfectly complemented by the stunning South Shore views (except for those pesky jet skiers - don't get Gregory started!). The atmosphere was electric, charged with the anticipation of a truly special day.
Now, let's talk about the real deal: Katelyn and Gregory. Their love shone through brighter than the sun, their eyes sparkling with adoration that would melt even the iciest heart. In my film, I tried to capture the essence of their connection, weaving together moments of quiet tenderness and bursts of infectious laughter. Despite claims of not being the romantic type, their love story unfolded beautifully on that day.
And then came the reception! Imagine this: a dance floor erupting with energy, fueled by a Zac Brown Band mix (a nod to their meet-cute at a concert). My longtime friend, the firecracker DJ Marc Bauman, kept the party going for hours. People danced like nobody was watching, and with Marc at the helm, why wouldn't they?
